just saw that on the evening news .
are they all having babies now or what ?
is there any stats on how many have left ?.
You can sort of see how the spanish is leading the way in growth by looking at Mexico and Brazil. Look at their growth over the last decade. Why? Hell if I know. I don't want to say that it's their lack of education, but - like I said, hell if I know.
What I am certain of - is that in the US - if it were not for Spanish, you'd have no growth, probably negative. That's from COs and Bethelites.

I did a quick search online, and although nothing official is actually out there, Mexican illegal immigration has had double digit ANNUAL percentage growth in the US in the last decade.
When I was in spanish last decade, our CIRCUIT split 3 times in 5 years.
Spanish growth plus foreign language is likely 90% of the growth. The other 10% is 5 year olds turning in a time slip for putting a tract in the door.
Not knocking the spanish immigrants - but, these folks breed like salmon. And if one comes in - the whole family does. Moreover - many of the ones that become JWs are not literate, so many of them are just doing it for family. They have no idea about the beliefs.
I've had a couple COs and friends at bethel tell me that English only has had negative growth for years.
there was once a christian that was attending seminary that felt unusually bold one sunday morning.
he decided to go to a random church that he had never attended before.
he went to the service and sat in one of the pews.
Dan I hate to say it - but watching you quote mine the koran, and ignore how you do the same thing with bible - it really shows you're attached to your beliefs without reason or logic. Sorry bro - calling it like it is. I'm sure you'll come up with some excuse as to why you don't see yourself as you are. Keep looking into yourself though, eventually you'll find peace when you leave the cognitive dissonance behind.
any comments on this here?.

MrsJones - I was at this restaurant once and already seated with my wife - just the two of us, table could seat four though. But the restaurant was packed and tiny, with a bit of a wait. This guy comes out of nowhere and asks if we mind if he shares our table - it happened so quick - that before I could say no, he was already seated. So I was like - sure, I guess. Next thing I know he's talking nonsense and I realize right away why he's alone. He's a nutjob. Now here on the internet - a lot of lonely nutjobs do the same thing - just like goodship. Unfortunatetly, he's already seated with nothing to prevent him from joining in - and of course - which thread does he choose? Alice's. Welcome to the interwebs.
i read this again just the other day in a post here i believe.
where jesus said he has 'others not of this fold'.
the context it was quoted in i found curious and it reminded me of thoughts i had regarding the words when i read them 'for myself'.
nope - you're all wrong. It was the mormons...and possibly - black jews for jesus.

They're all gay - that's for sure.
i used to love reading.
i would go through books like mad.
but as of the last few years i find myself fading further and further from reading.
The Game: Neil Strauss - it will change your life, I promise.
so i ran across this statement today in doing some research:.
take, for instance, the stories and legends regarding the origin of man.
although details vary, the belief that man was made from the dust of the earth is widespread.
Awesome find. Marking for future reference.
i just looked up some population statistics.
i saw there are over a billion children under the age of 10 on the earth today.
(didn't research too hard - just googled it.
Right now, Dan, other than an early retirement on an island, my future is undefined. When I moved on from the JWs, I decided to live in the present for a while. I'm not going to worry about tomorrow anymore. Despite the JWs quoting that part of the sermon on the mount so often, we were always thinking, talking, worrying, preaching, debating, writing, praying - all about the future. We just had to know with certainity the future as we interpreted it from the bible. We looked down on people that "had no hope" and couldn't define their beliefs with a clear picture that could be rendered by an artist in a book with panda bears or pearly gates.
So I've come to embrace uncertainity at the moment. I enjoy knowing that everything that has ever happened in my lifetime has had either a natural or man-made cause. Good or Bad, there has been nothing recorded that gives any evidence of supernatural intervention. I'm not scared of demons. I'm not scared of fact-based knowledge that might conflict with mythological stories of goat herders. I welcome it. I welcome challenges to my presuppositions. I've studied the Judeo Christian belief systems. I actually find some forms of Judaism appealing. But I'm even open to exploring Zen or Tao - but unlikely to convert to any ism.
John Lennon said it best: Life is what happens while we're busy making other plans.
So, I'm just not making other plans anymore.
